COLORFUL TIMES

The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild, Inc., a 77-year-old gallery located on the east end of Long Island, NY, announces its seventh Annual Juried Art Competition, Virtual Exhibition and Online Sale, "COLORFUL TIMES," juried by Linda Prentiss, professor of art studio and gallery curator.

Entries are accepted in three categories: Fine Art, Photography, and Mixed Media (Crafts). Awards are made in each category: First place $150, Second place $100, Third place $75. Applicants must be 18 years or older and residents of the United States. All works must be original work of the artist. Entry fee is $25.00 for one entry per category and $5.00 per additional entry (media fee) up to 20 per category. Artists may enter any or all categories. Applications are accepted through CaFE from April 1, 2025 through May 31, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be sent between June 15-21, 2025.

Winners and accepted entries will be exhibited virtually and offered for sale online at the Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild website from July 1-August 31, 2025, featured on Facebook and in the newsletter. There is no artwork size limit. Each entry must be submitted as a JPEG or JPG image file with minimum 1,200 pixels (recommended 1,920 pixels or larger on longest edge) and under 5 MB file size. Include the title of artwork, sale price or indicate NFS (not for sale), and a brief artist statement (50-100 words maximum). The Guild retains a 30% commission on works sold. Artists are responsible for shipping sold artwork to purchasers. Payment will be sent by mail within 30 days of the close of the exhibit. Works accepted in the exhibition may be used by the Guild for advertising and publicity during the entire run of the exhibition.
