Colored Pencil Society of America Explore This! 21

Colored Pencil Society of America Explore This! 21 is an international exhibition open to living artists worldwide age 18 or older. Entries must be predominantly colored pencil work that includes some other technique, surface, or element not allowed for the CPSA International Exhibition, such as another medium (ink, watercolor, pastel, acrylics), collage or montage, artist-prepared surface, or three-dimensional surface. Artwork must have been completed on or after January 1, 2022, and must be solely the original concept, design, and execution of the submitting artist.

Entry fees are $20 for CPSA members (2025 membership year) or $25 for non-members. Submissions must include 1-4 images. The deadline for entries is November 15, 2024. The acceptance list will be posted on January 15, 2025, and the show opens online with awards announced on February 1, 2025.

Awards include a $2,000 cash award for Best of Show and EXPY Award, plus up to 15 smaller cash amounts and product awards. Work may not have appeared in any previous CPSA Explore This! exhibition, be based on AI-generated images, or be collaborative work executed by more than one artist. Reference photos must be taken personally by the submitting artist, or if taken by others, must be incidental to and not the main focus of the artwork.
