About This Call
The Colored Pencil Society of America invites artists to submit work for the 30th Annual International Exhibition. The exhibition is open to living artists 18 years or older, regardless of geographic location.
Artwork must be 100% colored pencil on a 2-dimensional, manufactured surface with outside frame dimensions not exceeding 32 x 40 inches in either orientation. Artwork must have been completed in 2019 or after and not previously appeared in any CPSA exhibition. Work must be solely the original concept and design of the submitting artist, with no work copied from someone else's photograph, downloaded images, or other copyrighted and published materials. Each artist may submit one or two works of art for consideration, though CPSA allows selection of only one work by an artist.
Entry fees are $35.00 for non-members and $25.00 for members with 2022 membership. Submissions require 1-2 digital images. A list of accepted artists will be posted at www.cpsa.org no later than May 1, 2022. Initial selection by the juror does not guarantee that work will appear in the show; a final review of the actual artwork is made to verify it meets execution and framing specifications and is of the same quality depicted by the digital image. Selected artwork may be disqualified at any time before, during, or after the exhibition for failure to meet specifications. Artwork must hang in the show to count toward CPSA signature status. The exhibition runs from December 15, 2021 through March 31, 2023.
