Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Gala Art Exhibition and Auction

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College announces its 2018 Gala Art Exhibition and Auction, open to all Colorado regional artists. Work must be original art, not copied from published photos or works by other artists, and completed within the last 2 years. All entries must be for sale. No entry fee required.

Submissions are accepted in seven categories: Oil, Watercolor & Acrylic, Pastel & Drawing, Mixed Media, Ceramic, Photography, and Encaustic. Artists must submit 1-3 images online through CaFE (callforentry.org) by July 30, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The jury committee will notify all artists of decisions by August 1. Accepted artwork must be exhibit-ready on a 12x12 gallery-wrapped finished canvas or panel with 1½" depth, ready to hang with D-ring and wire hanging system. Hand deliveries are accepted August 1-13 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., and shipped artwork must arrive by August 13.

The exhibition runs August 24 through September 8, with the opening reception and Artists' Reception on August 24. The Fine Arts Center's annual Gala takes place on Saturday, September 8. Artists receive 50% of the total sale price for sold works, with payment mailed by September 30. Last year's exhibition involved over 70 artists and raised over $25,000.
