Colorado Photographic Arts Center Emerging Vision Biennial Student Show

The Colorado Photographic Arts Center invites current undergraduate and graduate students in photography to submit work for the Emerging Vision Biennial Student Show. This open-themed exhibition is an opportunity for emerging photography students to demonstrate their talent and point of view. All capture types, subject matter, and photographic processes are eligible, including images made by film or video camera, scanner, screen-capture, digital camera, and mobile photography.

Applicants must be currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution and not graduating before the end of the academic year 2018-2019. A copy of current student schedule or student ID must be uploaded with your entry or emailed to [email protected]. Submissions should include 3-10 total samples (0-10 images and 0-3 videos). Entry fee is $10 for 3 images, with an early bird discount of $5 for 3 images until September 28th; additional images are $3 each. The application deadline is Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Applicants will be notified of acceptance on October 30, 2018.

The exhibition will be held December 7, 2018 - January 5, 2019, with an opening reception on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 5-8pm. The juror is Hamidah Glasgow, Executive Director and Curator at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins. Exhibition print sizes must be specified with no size limit; work will be hung with magnets. Artwork must be received by Friday, November 30th. CPAC will charge a 40% sales commission on work sold.
