About This Call
Colorado Mesa University and the Western Colorado Center for the Arts invite current students (2019-2020) to submit their creative work for consideration in the 44th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. The exhibition will be held at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts, opening Friday, March 5 and closing Saturday, March 28.
Eligible artists may submit up to six works in any medium including painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation, ceramics, printmaking, photography, communication design, artist's books, and video. Work must have been completed by a current CMU student within the last three years and must be in good condition and ready to exhibit with proper framing, basing, or installation as needed. Entry fee is $20 for three artworks, with an additional $5 for each additional work (up to six total). Submissions must include the artist's name, phone number, email, artwork title, size, medium, and sale price if applicable.
Accepted artists will be notified via email by Sunday, February 23rd at midnight. Selected work will be juried by Joseph Gonzales. Artists are responsible for delivering work to the Western Colorado Center for the Arts (1803 N 7th St, Grand Junction) on Thursday, March 4th between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, and for picking up work on Saturday, March 29th from 9 am-12 pm. Artists may sell their work during the exhibition; the Western Colorado Center for the Arts retains a 30% commission on all sales. Work must remain on site for the duration of the exhibition.
