Color Space: Contemporary Photography

Black Box Gallery is hosting a color photography juried group photo show. The exhibition explores how contemporary photographers use color in landscape, portraiture, architecture, fashion, street, abstract, documentary, still life, narrative, conceptual projects, nature and night photography.

Juror Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, will select 24 photographs for exhibition at the gallery (June 1-20, 2022) and an additional 30 photographs for the online gallery annex. All 54 selected photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books. Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all exhibitions using archival inkjet printing on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper. Selected photographers must provide high resolution TIFF or JPEG files. Exhibition prints are kept in the gallery's flat file after the show for future promotion and sales inquiries. Black Box Gallery retains prints for 5 years before shredding.

Entry fee is $40. Photographers may submit 1-5 images. The deadline is May 11, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. All photographers will be notified 7-10 days after the deadline. The opportunity is open to international photographers. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on sales, with 50% going to the photographer. All rights to files and prints remain with the photographer.
