About This Call
This is an open call to artists for an international juried art exhibition at Site:Brooklyn. The exhibition will reflect the ambitious, innovative and contemporary in painting, drawing, printmaking, and photography. The juror is Lilly Wei, a New York-based independent curator, writer, journalist and critic whose area of interest is global contemporary art and emerging art and artists.
Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in two-dimensional media. Submissions must include 3-12 original images. Entry fee is $35 for up to three images, plus $10 for each additional image. All entries must be received by September 25, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by October 2, 2017. A return confirmation of participation is required by October 6, 2017 to hold a spot in the exhibition.
Accepted work must be maximum 48" x 60" x 4" D, professionally framed (Plexiglas required except for hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30"), wired and ready for hanging, and priced for sale. All artwork must arrive at the gallery between October 5-30, 2017, or be hand-delivered October 29-30, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hand-delivered work must be removed December 4-5, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Site:Brooklyn will retain a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. The exhibition runs November 3 – December 3, 2017, with an opening reception Friday November 3, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Entries that differ significantly from their digital images may be rejected. All entry fees are non-refundable.
