COLOR: Explorations and Expressions

COLOR: Explorations and Expressions is a juried photography and digital art exhibition. The theme explores color as a tool for artistic expression in photography, digital media, graphic design, and related formats. Specto accepts photography, graphic design, digital art, digital paintings, video art, GIFs, cinemographs, iphoneography, scanography, and any work that can be displayed digitally or printed with an inkjet printer.

Entry fee is $30 for up to 5 images, with each additional image costing $6 (maximum 10 entries per artist). Work samples must include a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 total files, which may include up to 6 audio files and up to 6 video files. The deadline is April 22nd. Each juried show consists of 20-24 accepted works. Show dates are May 12th through mid-June, with an opening reception on Saturday, May 12th.

Specto provides free printing, matting, and framing of all accepted works using archival materials and an Epson SureColor P6000 printer. Accepted artwork dimensions are 12"x12", 12"x15", 12"x16", or 12"x18"; other dimensions may be accommodated upon request. Awards include $400 for Best in Show and two $50 Honorable Mentions. Artists will be notified of acceptance within 3-4 weeks and must provide print-ready files within 7 days of notification. All works are catalogued and archived for continued promotion. Artists retain copyright of their work. Sales include a 35% commission to Specto and 65% to the artist. The exhibition is international and open to all eligible artists.
