About This Call
The Cocoa Beach Art Show is a juried art exhibition held Thanksgiving weekend in downtown Cocoa Beach at the Minutemen Causeway area. The show runs Saturday, November 28th, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 29th, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. This free, public event features up to 150 juried artists, live music, and a kids-art area. A student art show is held on Saturday featuring students from schools throughout the county. The 60+ year tradition begins Thanksgiving morning with a Turkey Trot 5K run/walk through Cocoa Beach residential neighborhoods.
Artists receive a free continental breakfast both Saturday and Sunday. Prize money totals up to $20,000, including $5,000 for Best in Show, $1,000 for Best in Each Category, $750 each for Judges Choice, $400 merit awards in each category (if work qualifies), and $300 Iris award for jewelry. All work submitted must have been created between 2023 and 2026. Only original, signed prints are accepted; this is not a craft show. The application fee is $40 per category (nonrefundable). Previous "Best in Category" or "Best in Show" winners from 2025 can use code WIN25 to waive the application fee. Booth fees are $300 for single booths, $625 for double booths, and $650 for corner booths. A $40 late entry fee applies if applicable. Artist setup is Friday beginning at noon. Work must be completely original and fit the specified category. Prohibited items include buy-sell products, mass-produced items, postcards, crocheted or knitted items, candles, decoupage, and commercial displays. Artists exhibit at their own risk; CBAS does not carry insurance for personal property.
