About This Call

Persevere: An Outdoor Exhibition and Projection Event

The Click! Photography Festival invites photographers to submit images created during 2020–2021 that document how photography served as a tool for survival and well-being during the pandemic. Selected images will be exhibited outdoors at the North Carolina Museum of Art's Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park during October 2021. All submitted images will also be projected in the museum's auditorium before Titus Brooks Heagins's keynote presentation and at other projection events during the Click! Festival.

Submissions may address any subject created during this period—walks in nature, protest images, gardens, moments of isolation, self-reflection, essential workers, or expressions of care and love. The Persevere Wall will serve as visual evidence of photography's transformative role during a time of crisis and isolation.

Submission Guidelines: Submit up to 5 images. Entry fee is $45. International artists are eligible. Jurors include Jennifer Dasal, Curator of Contemporary Art at the North Carolina Museum of Art and host of the podcast ArtCurious, and de'Angelo Dia, a poet, theologian, and doctoral candidate at Union Presbyterian Seminary.
