About This Call
Now in its 48th year, the Clear Lake Arts Center Art in the Park invites artists to apply for this juried exhibition on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9 am to 4 pm. The event is located at City Park in Clear Lake, Iowa, at the intersection of Main Street and South 3rd Street, with additional artist spaces at the Arts Center approximately one block away. Approximately 75 artists will be invited to exhibit. The event attracts an annual average of 5,000 visitors from a 120+ mile radius and draws shoppers from several states.
To apply, artists must submit a completed application with a $25 non-refundable jury fee, three images of their work, and one booth image. All work must be original and handcrafted by the exhibiting artist. Work produced by production studios, commercially-acquired kits, molds, patterns, or prefabricated forms is not acceptable. Artists must disclose their technique in the application. Images are reviewed in a blind jury process and must be anonymous with no identifying markings including signatures, name stamps, company names, or artist photos. Work shown in images must be representative of current work and no more than five years old.
Selected artists must pay a booth fee of $150 for a single booth or $300 for a double booth by May 31, 2026. The application deadline is May 1, 2026 at midnight CST. Jury invitations will be emailed May 16, 2026. All exhibiting artists must be present during all show hours. The event offers complimentary booth sitting service (subject to availability) and hospitality with coffee, juice, fruit, and pastries. Marketing includes an event program, social media promotion, and advertising through local and regional Iowa and Southern Minnesota media.
