Clayton Art Faire 2020 - 22nd Annual Juried Show

Clayton Visual Arts, Inc. announces the 22nd Annual Art Faire, a juried competition awarding $2,100 in cash prizes. Due to safety considerations, this will be a completely virtual art exhibit.

All 2D artwork is welcome, including fiber art and photography. Artists may enter up to three pieces of art through CallForEntry.org. The entry fee is $35, with a $10 discount available using promo code CLAF20 for all entrants. Artwork images must be named according to protocol for blind judging (artist initials and number, followed by artwork title). Images must comply with CallForEntry's guidelines for media preparation and sizing.

Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older. Works must be entirely the work of a single artist, executed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited in Art Faire shows. All entries must be for sale and family-friendly. Original art is defined as one-of-a-kind work created by the artist's hand, not copied from other artists' work. Artwork dimensions (including frame) cannot exceed 48 inches on any side. Artists do not have to be residents of Clayton.

Awards include: Margaret Ritchie Award of Excellence ($750), Carolyn Howard 1st Place Fine Art Award ($300), 1st Place Photography Award ($300), 2nd Overall Award ($250), 3rd Overall Award ($150), People's Choice Award ($100), HomeTowne Award ($100), and 3 Honorable Mention Awards for Fine Art and 3 for Photography ($25 gift certificates each). Approximately 50 works will be selected by juror Jean Grunewald, an award-winning abstract oil painter. Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 28, 2020.
