Clay Gallery: Table of Contents - Regional Dinnerware Competition

A juried dinnerware exhibition embracing a wide spectrum of ceramic food service objects: decorative, sculptural, and utilitarian. Participants must create a place setting for one consisting of 3-5 pieces that must include a starter, entree, and beverage vessel. The exhibition is open to all artists who are residents of and working in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

All work must be at least 50% clay and available for sale during the exhibition. Each piece is limited to 20 pounds and must not exceed a footprint larger than 16" x 14"; items may be stacked. Work should not be so fragile that public display is potentially harmful to the work or the viewer, and all work must be properly prepared and presented for display. Work selected by the juror must be the work displayed at the Table of Contents Exhibition. Clay Gallery reserves the right to make the final decision on displaying juror-selected dinnerware sets based on technical factors and accuracy of the work as represented in submitted images.

The entry fee is $35.00, non-refundable. Each entrant may submit one set of work with two digital images for consideration. Images must be of current work and representative of work the artist plans to exhibit. Awards include Best of Show ($500.00), Second Place ($350.00), and Third Place ($150.00). Notification begins December 2, 2013. Accepted work is due December 23, 2013. The show opens January 6, 2014, with a Restaurant Week Reception on January 17, 2014, and closes February 15, 2014.
