About This Call
Clay from ACGA is a ceramic art competition open to members of ACGA only. Founded in 1996 by Gerald and Joanne Epperson, the Epperson Gallery is dedicated to ceramic art and hosts a wide range of exhibitions with a focus on Northern California artists and regional history. Located in the former Nash Car Dealership in historic downtown Crockett, California, the gallery also houses five artists' studios and four businesses.
Eligibility and Requirements: All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years. Artwork cannot have been previously exhibited at Epperson Gallery. All wall works must be ready to hang, and all artwork must be for sale. Accepted artwork that differs significantly from the submitted image will be disqualified. No accepted entry may be withdrawn or sold outside of the exhibition prior to the closing date. Art must be able to pass through doors with 80"h x 84"w clearance, with gallery ceilings at 11 feet high. Nothing over 60 lbs will be accepted. Submissions require 1-3 images. Entry fee is $25 (non-refundable), with part of the fee going back to ACGA. Tony Natsoulas will jury the show. Both vessel and sculptural work will be accepted.
Awards: First Place $750, Second Place $500, Third Place $250. Exhibition dates are May 11 - July 6. Artist notification is April 12th. Shipping deadline is May 4th with prepaid return shipping label required. Hand delivery is available May 5th or 6th from 11am to 4pm. Opening reception is May 11th. Unsold work pickup is July 7th or 8th. Epperson Gallery handles all sales transactions, and artists receive a 67% commission from gallery sales.
