Clay

This exhibition invites ceramists and pottery artists worldwide to submit work exploring clay as a medium. The show celebrates the plasticity and fluidity of clay and its ability to take on many forms and textures. Work must have been produced within the last five years. All styles and aesthetics are considered, and both amateur and professional artists are eligible. Content should be appropriate for all viewers.

Submit 1-20 JPEG images (1,200 pixels minimum on longest side, 5 MB maximum file size). Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. Only submit work that will be available for the entire exhibition and accurately reflects the submitted images. Framed work must be fitted firmly in frame with wire for hanging; no loose glass over mats. Gallery wrapped canvases are permitted. Poorly presented work will not be hung.

The exhibition runs May 31–June 22, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 15, 2024. Local drop-off is May 28, 2024; shipped work must arrive by May 27, 2024. An opening event is scheduled for May 31, 2024, 5–7 PM. Unsold work can be picked up June 24, 2024, 8 AM–noon, or will be shipped the week of June 24, 2024. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must provide pre-paid return labels. The Cultural Center charges a 30% commission on sales for members and 40% for non-members. The Center is not responsible for damage during shipping or handling; artists should insure their work. Works without return labels or not picked up within one month of the exhibition end become property of the Center.
