About This Call
Clark County Open Studios is a juried art event for visual artists and artisans in Clark County working in all media. The tour takes place November 1-2, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm, offering artists the opportunity to open their studio doors to the public and show and sell their work. A preview exhibit and artists' reception will be held at Art at the Cave Gallery (108 E Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98660) on First Friday, October 3, 2025.
Artist benefits include exposure through print, web, and social media marketing; a 28-page full-color tour guide featuring one image from each artist; an online Artist Directory with 5 images, artist statement, studio location, and contact information; and networking opportunities with other local artists. All proceeds from studio sales go to the artists unless a gallery contract specifies otherwise. The preview exhibit will feature one work from each participant, with the hosting gallery receiving a 50% commission on sales.
Eligibility requires a regular, ongoing studio workspace in Clark County, Washington. During Open Studios, artists must exhibit at least 15 pieces of original art created within the last three years. Reproductions are limited to 20% of display space and must be labeled. The entry fee is $25, with a $250 participation fee due by June 10th upon acceptance. Application materials include 4 images of artwork created in the last three years, 1 studio image, and a brief artist statement (approximately 150 words). Images must be JPEGs up to 5MB with a minimum of 1920 pixels on the longest side. The Christine Rice Emerging Artists Scholarship supports artists ages 20-30applying for the first time, offering a waived participation fee and a $500-$1000 scholarship award. Jury selection is based on originality/creativity and craftsmanship/use of materials or media.
