Clark County Open Studios 2023

Clark County Open Studios is a juried art event for visual artists and artisans in Clark County working in all media. The Open Studios tour is a free self-guided tour held Saturday-Sunday, November 4-5, 2023, 10 am to 5 pm, with a preview exhibit and artists' reception on First Friday, November 3, 2023, at Art at the CAVE Gallery, 108 E Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98660.

Participating artists must have a regular, ongoing studio workspace located within Clark County, Washington. The studio must retain the atmosphere of an active workspace with materials, equipment, and work-in-progress visible. During Open Studios, artists must exhibit a minimum of 15 pieces of original art created within the last three years. Reproductions are limited to 20% of display space and must be clearly labeled. Clark County Open Studios is open to a wide range of visual media including painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, wood, metal, glass, fiber arts, jewelry, photography, digital art, and printmaking.

Artist benefits include access to five Professional Development workshops through partnership with PDXOS Artists Academy, exposure through print, web, and social media marketing, an artist directory on the Open Studios website with 5 images and artist statement, networking opportunities, and the ability to sell work directly to the public. The application fee is $25, with a $150 participation fee due by June 10th upon acceptance. Artists who are accepted will receive notification by June 7th. Applicants must submit five digital images (4 of artwork created in the last three years and 1 studio image), a brief artist statement (approximately 150 words), and complete the online application. A Christine Rice Memorial Scholarship of $500-$1000 is available for emerging artists ages 20-30, including mentorship from seasoned Open Studios artists and option to be hosted in another artist's studio.
