Clark County Open Studios 2019

Clark County Open Studios is a juried art event for visual artists and artisans living in Clark County, working in all media. The event offers artists an opportunity to gain recognition, open their studio doors to the public, and show and sell their work. For the community, Open Studios is a free self-guided tour that enhances awareness of local artists and enriches the cultural life of Clark County neighborhoods.

The Open Studios tour takes place November 2-3, 2019, 10 am to 5 pm. A preview exhibit and artists reception will be held Friday, November 1, 2019, 5-9 pm at CAVE Gallery, 108 E Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98660. One work of art from each participant will be featured in the preview show and will be available for sale, with the hosting gallery receiving a 50% commission on sales during the preview.

Participating artists must have a regular, ongoing studio workspace for creating art located within Clark County, Washington. During Open Studios, artists must exhibit a minimum of 15 pieces of original art created within the last three years. Reproductions may be exhibited with restrictions: only 20% of display space may be allocated to reproductions, original work should be prominent, and reproductions must be clearly labeled with an explanation of the reproduction process.

To apply, submit five digital images of artwork created in the last three years, one image of your studio space, and a brief artist statement (about 50 words) describing your conceptual approach and creative process. The application fee is $25. Artists who are accepted will receive an acceptance letter by June 10th and must pay a participation fee of $125 by June 30th to confirm participation.
