About This Call

Clark County Open Studios is a juried art event for visual artists and artisans living in Clark County, working in all media. The event offers artists the opportunity to open their studio doors to the public and show and sell their work. For the community, Open Studios is a free self-guided tour designed to enhance awareness of talented local artists and enrich the cultural life of Clark County neighborhoods.

The Open Studios tour takes place November 11-12, 2017, 10 am to 5 pm. A preview exhibit and artists reception will be held on First Friday, November 4, 2017, 5-9 pm, featuring one work of art from each participant. During the preview, Arts of Clark County will receive 20% commission and the hosting gallery will receive 30% commission on sales. All proceeds from studio sales go to the artists unless a gallery contract specifies otherwise.

Participating artists must have a regular, ongoing studio workspace located within Clark County, Washington, and must exhibit a minimum of 15 pieces of original art created within the last three years. Reproductions may be displayed with restrictions: only 20% of display space may be allocated to reproductions, original work should be prominent, and reproductions must be clearly labeled with an explanation of the reproduction process. The application fee is $25, non-refundable. Accepted artists will be required to pay a participation fee of $100 by June 30. Applications must include five digital images of available work created within the last three years, one image of the studio space, and a brief artist statement (about 50 words). Jurors will evaluate submissions based on originality/creativity and craftsmanship/use of materials or media.
