Civilization

This exhibition seeks artists across the country to explore what "Civilization" means to them. The call invites artists to grapple with themes of urgency, whether addressing societal survival, political or personal perspectives, or the unknown. Artists are encouraged to bring visceral points of view and distinctive styles across all mediums.

Accepted artists will exhibit in the center of Denver's most popular art district, with thousands attending First Friday Art Walks. The exhibition runs from July 25 to August 23, 2025. Entry fee is $28.00. Submissions should include 1-4 images and up to 1 video. Artists must provide accurate framed dimensions in their application; work that exceeds stated dimensions by 5 inches or more may be turned away at drop-off. All artwork must have a wire hanger attached to the back or have painted sides on stretched canvas. Out-of-state artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from Colorado.
