Impasto Art Gallery is seeking works inspired by the love of the city for a group exhibition. Artists are invited to submit work exploring their favorite city, skyline, or feelings evoked by urban environments.

Selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in Impasto Art Gallery's urban chic gallery space in Prospect New Town. The gallery will sponsor an opening reception on March 3rd from 6pm-9pm featuring wine and appetizers. The exhibition runs from March 3rd through April 14th, 2017. Impasto Art Gallery will showcase the exhibition online with modern presentation and convenient online shopping, and will feature and promote artists' work through social media channels daily.

Open to all artists working in photography, fabric, mixed media, new media, paintings (acrylic, oil, watercolor), drawings, ink, graphite, pastels, colored pencil, encaustic, and fiber arts. Original works only; no reproductions accepted. Artwork cannot exceed 36 inches in any dimension including frame. All work must be framed and ready to hang with secure hanging wire on the back (no eyehooks, saw tooth hangers, or Uni-Frames). Work must be completely dry upon receipt. Potentially smearable work on paper must be glazed. Triptychs and diptychs must be able to be hung with one hanger. Three-dimensional works must be displayable without gallery staff intervention. Jewelry, video, and sculpture are excluded. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three works (non-refundable). Artists must submit 1-3 images. Art delivery available February 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 27th between 12-3pm, or February 18th 10am-1pm. Art must be received by February 27th (hand delivered or shipped via FedEx or UPS). Jury results will be sent via email. Impasto Art Gallery retains 30% commission on all pieces sold. Unsold artwork can be picked up April 15th 10am-1pm, April 17th-18th 10am-3pm, or shipped back to artist April 15th-18th (artist provides pre-paid return label). Selected artists must sign an artist agreement and complete a W-9 form prior to payment.
