About This Call
The City of Overland Park's Juried art exhibition dates back to 1979 and has featured jurors from international renown including John Boyd Martin, Dr. Patricia McDonnell, William T. Wiley, Sondra Freckelton, Bo Bartlett, Rackstraw Downes, Neil Welliver, Preston Jackson, Mark English, Sangram Majumdar, Dean L. Mitchell, and Louis Copt.
All manner of art is welcome from paintings, photography, mixed media, pastels, sculpture (wall mount, pedestal, and floor standing), jewelry, ceramics, carved wood, and kinetic pieces. Entry fee is $25.00. Artists must submit exactly 4 images. Artists wishing to enter fewer than 4 images may upload an appropriately labeled image detail of a previous image or upload a blank image with the title "No Image Submitted."
All work is showcased in the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center where it is available for audiences Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. - 10 p.m., Saturdays 7 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. The center is staffed and uses security measures including video surveillance. Exhibition dates: April 4 - June 8, 2014. Eligibility is national.
