City of Mountain View Call for Artists 2019

The City of Mountain View's Visual Arts Committee is inviting artists and artist teams working in a variety of media to exhibit public art in the lobby of the Center for Performing Arts for the 2019 season. The rotating exhibits are approximately nine weeks in length and are viewed by thousands of people visiting downtown Mountain View and attending shows at the Center for Performing Arts.

Applications will be accepted from Monday, September 3, 2018, at 8:00 AM (PST) to Sunday, September 30, 2018 by 11:00 PM (PST). Only the first 120 applications will be accepted. The call is open to all professional artists and artist teams over the age of 18 residing in the San Francisco Bay Area counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma).

All applications must be submitted online via CaFE at www.callforentry.org. There is no charge for artists to apply. Applications should include an artist resume, five to ten images of current work, and annotated image descriptions with title, date, dimensions, and media type. The Visual Arts Committee anticipates making artist selections by October 10, 2018, with artists notified by October 15, 2018.
