About This Call
The City of Loveland Art in Public Places announces the TAAP 2D Youth project, an on-loan program for youth artists working in two-dimensional media, ages Kindergarten through High School. The project includes three categories: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Four students in each category will be awarded a $100 honorarium, for a total of twelve awards. Applications will be reviewed by a jury panel consisting of Art in Public Places representatives and public volunteers.
Selected artwork will be displayed at the Loveland Public Library for approximately six months, starting in February or March 2022. The City of Loveland Art in Public Places program will coordinate framing logistics and cost with a local framer, so artwork does not need to be framed by the artist. Artwork larger than 4'x4' may not be easily accommodated but may be considered for installation. Selected artwork must remain on display for the duration of the program.
This project is open to all Northern Colorado artists of two-dimensional media in Elementary, Middle, or High School. Artwork submitted must be original and created by the artist. Artists must provide artwork title and dimensions for each submission. Submissions are limited to 1-2 images. Jury panel review will take place January 17 - February 7, 2022, with selected artists notified by February 15, 2022. Artists will enter a loan agreement with the City of Loveland no later than February 22, 2022.
