About This Call

The Art Advocacy Project 2D (TAAP 2D) is a one-year on-loan program designed to promote regional artists through the public display of their artworks and provides a means for artwork sales. Seven new two-dimensional works of art are showcased in the Loveland Public Library's central galleria each March. This project is ideal for amateur as well as professional artists wishing to display their work. A wide variety of media have been displayed through this annual project. Selected artists may offer work for sale; however this is not required. Applications will be reviewed by a jury panel consisting of Art in Public Places representatives and public volunteers.

This project is open to all Northern Colorado artists of two-dimensional media and selected artists will be compensated with an honorarium of $350.00. Selected artwork must be considered museum "ready to hang" to an art railing with D-ring hardware. All artwork must be professionally fabricated, framed with protective glass (when applicable) and durable for public display. Artists may submit up to two different works of art per application. Artwork submitted must be created by and be an original work of the applying artist (exceptions are photographic editions). The artist must own all rights to display the artwork. Due to space limitations, artwork larger than 4' x 4' may not be easily accommodated; however, it may be considered for installation.

Selected artworks will be displayed at the Loveland Public Library from late February 2022 until late February 2023. Selected artists will be notified by February 7, 2022, and must enter into a City Contract by February 18, 2022. Artwork must be delivered by February 25, 2022. Selected artwork must remain on display for the duration of the program, with exceptions made for photography. Photographs (that are part of a limited edition) may be sold and replaced for display within the first six months of hanging. Artwork must have D-ring hardware installed by the time of delivery.
