About This Call
The City of Loveland Art in Public Places Program seeks 2D pieces to be placed in Downtown Loveland as part of The Art Advocacy Project (TAAP) 2D. City of Loveland citizens are encouraged to participate in this one-year exhibition scheduled from February 2015 to February 2016. Selected artists will be awarded an honorarium of $250, and installed artwork may be available for sale.
Artists must be Loveland residents and own the rights to the artwork. The piece must be available for the duration of the one-year contract and must be professionally constructed of durable materials that can withstand normal wear and tear. Submissions must include up to two images per submission that clearly show the entire work. Artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration, but each submission must have at least one image. All submissions must include dimensions and a stated insurance value for the artwork. There are presently no restrictions on size; however, pieces larger than 24" x 36" may be difficult to display.
Selected artists are responsible for delivering artwork to the Loveland Museum & Gallery as exhibit-ready and framed. A condition report will be completed upon delivery. Artwork deemed unsuitable for public display will not be accepted. The City will insure the artwork for the duration of exhibition. The City of Loveland will install a recognition plaque indicating the title, medium, artist, and contact phone number for purchasing artwork. All pieces will be listed on the Art in Public Places web pages and within all TAAP 2D promotional material. Contact Kimber Kreutzer, Business Services Manager, at 970-962-2490 or [email protected] for clarification regarding TAAP 2D.
