About This Call
The Greeley Art Commission solicits sculpture artwork for annual display in public areas and community parks throughout Greeley. Each artist may enter up to three works. Judging is based on originality, durability and suitability for outdoor display, and public safety. Artwork should be more than four feet in height.
The Sculpture on Loan Program, initiated in 1995, currently has twelve spaces to display outdoor sculpture near downtown Greeley businesses. Sculptures are displayed for one year, and the viewing population in the Greeley area is nearly 100,000. Each year, with citizen input, the City purchases one or more sculptures to be added to the permanent art collection.
Submissions must include 3-6 images of the work and a statement about the inspiration for the artwork or other interesting information for the brochure. The program is open to national applicants.
