City of Greeley: 2014 Sculpture on Loan Program

The City of Greeley is accepting artist entries for the 18th Annual Sculpture on Loan Program. The program is open to professional and amateur artists of all backgrounds. Each artist may enter up to three works. Judging is based on the originality of the piece, its durability and suitability for outdoors, and safety for the public. It is recommended that artwork be more than four feet in height.

Since 1995, the Greeley Art Commission has placed sculptures on display for one year in public areas and community parks throughout the Greeley area, which has a viewing population of nearly 100,000. The program currently has twelve spaces to display outdoor sculpture near downtown Greeley businesses. Each year, with citizen input, the City purchases one or more sculptures to be added to the permanent art collection.

Work sample requirements: Submit 1-3 images. A statement about the inspiration for the artwork or other interesting information must be included for the brochure.
