City of Aurora: Recycling Reversal - The Art of Rubbish

Through a grant from the Spirit of Aurora, Art in Public Places will pay four to five artists a stipend of $250 each. Artists will be allowed to sell their artwork to visitors and participants of the event, provided the artist or the artist's representative handles all transactions. During the festival, selected artists should be prepared to talk about their work and have examples available of selected found and re-purposed materials normally used. If possible, artists should be prepared to demonstrate the creation of art. Electricity at the site will not be available.

Submit a minimum of three (3) digital images and a maximum of five (5) digital images through www.callforentry.org. Include contact information (address, daytime telephone number, and e-mail address), an image list corresponding to the name of each jpeg with title, media and dimensions, and a written description of your work detailing materials used and how you choose found and re-purposed objects to use in your art. No hard copy submissions will be accepted. The event takes place on September 21, 2013.
