About This Call
The Project Art Selection Panel seeks one artwork or a series of artworks to be placed within City Park at various points of interest. Possible locations include the entrance gateway or a triangular grassy area at the Dayton Street corner entry.
The Panel will consider free standing sculpture or sound installations. Sculptural media to be considered includes but is not limited to stone, metal, fiberglass, or mixed media. One to four semi-finalists will be invited to design a preliminary proposal and will be paid a $500 design fee each. The proposal will include a concept narrative, preliminary budget, renderings (drawing or digital), and material sample.
Funding for this project is made possible through the City of Aurora 1% Art in Public Places Ordinance and the Conservation Trust Fund. Applicants must submit 8 images with their entry.
