City Mural

Chicago City Murals invites professional artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for a large-scale outdoor mural celebrating neighborhood identity, everyday life, and the cultural energy of Chicago. The selected artist will work with the project team and community representatives to develop an original design for a prominent brick wall in Chicago. The goal is to create a welcoming neighborhood landmark that feels distinctly connected to Chicago while allowing the selected artist significant creative freedom. This Request for Qualifications is the first stage of the selection process, so applicants should submit examples of previous work rather than a finished design for the site.
