City Lights Spring 2017 Juried Exhibition

Open to all original artwork completed by the submitting artists. Art cannot have taken a prize in a prior City Lights show. 150 pieces will be selected for exhibit from March 1-31, 2017.

Categories include Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Photography, Drawing/Pastel, and Other Media. Size limit is 1,100 sq. in. per piece with a maximum of 3 entries. Artwork must be framed and under clean plexiglass unless 16 x 20 or smaller (which can be under glass). Plexiglass is optional on canvas and hardboards. Gallery wrapped canvas with painted borders is acceptable. All paintings must have a backing board and be ready to hang, with wire attached using D Rings (no hanging clips). A certificate of authenticity must be affixed to all accepted entries, and artists must sign a Hold Harmless Agreement when artwork is delivered.

Entry fee is $25.00 for both members and non-members for the first entry, with a $15.00 media fee for a 3rd entry by exhibiting members. Prizes include Best of Show ($250), 1st Place ($100 per category), 2nd Place ($50 per category), and 3rd Place ($25 per category). Artists are responsible for shipping to and from City Lights Art Gallery, 3 E Army St, Henderson NV 89015. Unsold work will be shipped back after the exhibition closes; artists must provide a prepaid shipping label for return of artwork. Completed applications and JPG entries are due 2/14/17. Notification of acceptance will be sent by 2/27/17. Accepted artwork must be physically at City Lights on 2/24 and 2/25. Reception and winners announcement is 3/4/17. Artwork is available for pickup on 4/7 and 4/8/17.
