About This Call
Cimarron National Works on Paper Exhibition is held at the Gardiner Gallery of Art in the Bartlett Center for the Studio Arts at Oklahoma State University, running September 9 – October 10, 2019. The exhibition features works on paper, including photography and paper-based multi-media work. The juror is Jodi Throckmorton, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
All artists residing in the United States are eligible to submit up to three artwork entries. Work must be original and executed within the past three years. A nonrefundable entry fee of $30 must accompany the submission. Digital images (maximum three) must be clearly labeled with artist's name, title, medium, and size. Accepted work that differs markedly from the digital image may be disqualified by the juror.
$2,000 will be available for purchase awards. Purchased work will be added to the permanent collection of the Department of Art, housed in the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art. Awards will be selected by the juror after accepted work has been received. Framed work must be under plexiglass (no glass). Unframed work must be ready for hanging. Accepted work must be received by August 29, 2019. The opening reception is September 12, 2019. A catalog of the exhibition will be mailed to all accepted artists. Oklahoma State University will pay up to $100 of return shipping costs; the balance is the artist's responsibility.
