Chulitna Lodge Wilderness Retreat -- Creative Residency, Summer 2026

Chulitna Lodge Wilderness Retreat seeks to provide time, space, clarity, and facilities for creative professionals and researchers to make and meditate. The retreat welcomes applications from visual artists, writers, scientific researchers, musicians, dancers, and other creative professionals across all disciplines including Craft/Traditional Arts, Photography, Drawing, Film/Video/New Media, Mixed-Media/Multi-Discipline, Painting, and Sculpture.

The lodge is located 180 miles from the nearest road on the shores of Lake Clark National Park in Alaska, accessible by fly-in only. It is a historical landmark dedicated to sharing a love for responsible exploration of remote locations and maintaining such places wild. The retreat offers 6-week fully funded Fellowships as well as short-term residencies lasting 1-3 weeks available by weekly fee. The event runs from May 16, 2026 through September 26, 2026. Entry fee is $35. Submission deadline is December 15, 2025. The opportunity is open to national applicants.
