About This Call

Gallerium invites artists to submit work to Children 2022, an international juried competition celebrating childhood and life through artistic visualization of children's faces, figures, emotions, and acts. The call seeks artistic interpretations of children in contexts including family, health, education, technology, poverty, abuse, violence, and labor. All artists working in any medium worldwide are eligible to submit. The submission is free, with a USD 40 selection fee applying only to selected artists.

Artists may submit up to 5 original artworks, with a maximum of 2 selected per artist. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant and created within the last 5 years (preferred). All styles and mediums are accepted, including painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, and mixed media. Artworks must be original and not copies or derivatives of copyrighted work. Artists must hold all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally.

Selected artworks will be showcased in an online group exhibition from July 20 to August 20, 2022, and published in The Book of Arts: Children 2022. The online version of the publication will be available free, with high-quality print available through print-on-demand services. Selected artists receive a digital certificate, online artist profile page on the Biafarin platform, exhibition poster link, social media badges, and a report with exhibition analytics and engagement statistics. The publication will be distributed internationally to art experts, collectors, and enthusiasts across over 100 countries.
