About This Call
Children 2021 is an international juried fine art dual opportunity appreciating childhood and celebrating life in a better world through artistic visualization of children's faces, figures, emotions, and acts. The call seeks artistic interpretations of children in relation to family, health, playing games, education, technology, poverty, abuse, violence, labor, and other related contexts. This dual opportunity includes both an exhibition and publication opportunity, open to all artists and mediums worldwide. All abstract and figurative expressions of children are welcome.
Submission to this call is free, with a USD 40 selection fee applying to selected artists only. Artists may submit up to 5 original artworks. Work sample requirements: minimum 1 image, maximum 5 images. Selected artworks will be showcased in the Children 2021 international group exhibition online from October 30 to December 10, 2021, and published in The Book of Arts: Children publication. The online version of the book will be available for free, while high-quality print versions can be ordered via print-on-demand services.
Eligibility: Open to all visual artists worldwide. Accepted media include painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, and mixed media. All styles are accepted. There is no size limit for submitted artworks. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant and original; entries must not be copies or derivatives of other copyrighted or published work. Artists must have all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally. Selected artists will receive a digital certificate, online profile page on Biafarin platform, exhibition poster link, social media badges, and a report with analytics on artwork views, comments, engagement, and sales statistics.
