About This Call
The Chianciano Biennale invites artists worldwide to apply for its 2026 edition, taking place August 15–29 in Tuscany, Italy. This international exhibition is open to all disciplines—painting, sculpture, digital, installation, and more—with approximately 200 artists selected by a professional jury. Works will be exhibited across the Chianciano Art Museum and 13 historic galleries in the medieval town.
There are no submission requirements; applications are open to all living artists without discrimination, evaluated solely on the basis of the artwork itself. The entry fee is €40 per work submitted. Once accepted, there are no additional costs. Exhibited artworks do not need to be for sale; artists may choose to display works as "not for sale." For artworks offered for sale, the Biennale does not take commissions and will only withhold costs related to transactions.
Awards include €2,500 for Best Work, €1,000 each for prizes in painting, sculpture/installation, work on paper, and digital/photographic works. Ten selected artists will receive automatic approval to participate in the London Art Biennale 2027. Five artists will be selected for art critiques by the International Confederation of Art Critics. Venues: Museo d'Arte di Chianciano Terme, Viale della Libertà 280, and Clancianum Galleries, Piazza Matteotti, Chianciano Terme SI, Italy.
