Cherry Creek Arts Festival: Arrow Five Years Out Art Challenge

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival and Arrow Electronics are hosting the Arrow Five Years Out Art Challenge, inviting visual artists to express ideas of innovation through their chosen discipline. Artists are challenged to think beyond tomorrow and envision what's coming five years out.

Five finalists will each receive a $5,000 commission to create their artwork for display at the 2013 Cherry Creek Arts Festival (July 5-7, 2013). One winner will be selected to receive an additional $10,000 Innovation Award and a jury-exempt invitation to exhibit at the 2014 Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The winning artist will also receive a travel per diem to showcase their work during the festival. The five commissioned artworks will become part of Arrow's innovative collection and may be featured in global advertising and offices worldwide.

Artists working in any media are eligible to apply, including electronic art, light installations, and kinetic work. Applications must include five images of previously completed artworks, a detailed description of the artwork to be created, and a current resume. Artwork must be shipped to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival offices and arrive by June 3, 2013. Shipping costs should be included in the $5,000 commission.
