Cherry Creek Arts Festival: Arrow Five Years Out Art Challenge

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is partnering with Arrow Electronics in the Arrow Five Years Out Art Challenge, an international challenge inviting artists to express the concept of innovation and what five years out looks like in the art world through their artistic medium.

Artists working in any discipline—including painting, sculpture, glass, ceramics, wood, drawing, printmaking, new media, metalwork, fiber, and mixed media—are invited to submit. Five finalists will be awarded $5,000 commissions to create their pieces for display at the 2014 Cherry Creek Arts Festival. One winner will be selected to receive an additional $10,000 grand prize and a jury-exempt invitation to exhibit at the 2015 Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The five commissioned artworks will become part of Arrow's collection and may be featured in global marketing efforts and offices worldwide.

Applications must include five images of previously completed artworks and/or sketches of proposed designs, a detailed description of the artwork to be created, and a current resume. Artwork must be shipped to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and arrive no later than June 18th, with shipping costs included in the $5,000 commission. The competition is open to all artists regardless of race, color, creed, gender, national origin, age, religion, or other protected status. Artists may apply individually or as a team.
