About This Call
Ranked in the 2018, 2019, 2023, 2024 and 2025 Sunshine Artist Top 200 Shows! 2026 marks the 54th anniversary of this rite of spring in one of Louisville's most beautiful and historic neighborhoods. The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair is a juried fair with more than 200 artists' booths held in Louisville's historic Cherokee Triangle neighborhood on tree-lined Cherokee Parkway between Willow Avenue and Cherokee Road. The two-day event is free and open to the public, featuring a high-quality and diverse selection of art, food, drink, and entertainment.
The fair accepts all mediums including clay, clothing/wearables, crafts, fiber, glass, images 2D, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media 2D and 3D, paper, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood. All items must be hand-crafted by the exhibitor. Booth spaces are 10' x 10' with a fee of $400 plus 6% Kentucky sales tax. Setup begins at noon Eastern Time on Friday, with show hours 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Overnight security is provided, but electricity is not available.
One $550 cash prize will be awarded for Best in Show, and two $400 cash prizes for Honorable Mention awards. The Best in Show winner is exempt from the jury process the following year. Applications require no more than three photographs of art plus a required booth shot. Approximately 220 exhibitors will be accepted from an average of 440 applications. All applications must be submitted by January 15th, with notification on or about March 1, 2026. The annual fair serves as the major fundraiser for the Cherokee Triangle Association, with proceeds supporting free summer concerts and donations to local organizations.
