About This Call
Visit Cherokee Nation presents the 20th annual Cherokee Art Market, October 10-12, 2025, at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. This elite market is exclusively for artists who are citizens/members of federally recognized tribes. More than 150 nationally renowned Native artists gather each year to exhibit, compete for prize money, and offer their work for sale. The application period officially closed on April 7, 2025, but late applications are being accepted for potential consideration only if space becomes available, reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
All artists must submit an application and will be juried in annually, except Cherokee National Treasures who are exempt from the jury process. Artists need proof of enrollment in a federally recognized tribe, four images of recent work created within the past two years, a booth shot, and descriptions of submitted pieces. Applications can be for individual artists, shared booths, co-op businesses, or collectives. All booths are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis after acceptance.
The market features multiple class divisions including Painting/Drawing/Graphics/Photography, Sculpture, Beadwork/Quillwork, and Basketry, each with traditional and contemporary categories and specific material requirements. Competition entry is included for co-op booths (up to two artists), with additional artists able to enter for $50 each. All work must comply with detailed guidelines for allowable materials and techniques specific to each division.
