Cheers! Drink Up! 2021

Commonwheel Artists Co-op invites ceramic artists to submit original clay drinking vessels for the Cheers! Drink Up! 2021 competition. Any artists working in clay can apply with original drinking vessels made within the last two years. Glazes must be food safe. The artwork will be displayed in a gallery visited by people of all ages; extreme, overt mature content may not be displayed.

Submit 1-4 entries for a $30 non-refundable entry fee. Entries can be all in one category or any mix of categories. Only single drinking vessels are accepted; pairs, sets, flasks, and pouring vessels cannot be submitted. Submit one image per entry as a JPEG or JPG under 5MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Label digital files as: LastNameFirstNameCategory.JPG (example: SmithJohnBeer.JPG). Deadline: May 8, 2021. Online submission through CAFÉ at https://callforentry.org. Artists will be notified of acceptance or decline by May 25.

Ceramic artist Lorna Meaden will jury entries and select award-winning drinking vessels. Awards include $100 cash for Best of Show and $50 cash awards for Best of in each of four categories: Beer, Coffee, Tea, and Spirits. Honorable mention awards will also be selected in each category. All artwork will be for sale during the exhibition, with Commonwheel Artists Co-op retaining a 40% commission on sales. Accepted artwork must arrive by 6 pm Friday, June 25, shipped or hand delivered to: Commonwheel Artists Co-op, Cheers! Drink Up!, 102 Cañon Avenue, Manitou Springs, Colorado 80829. Include return shipping postage (prepaid label, postage stamps, or signed blank check). Checks for sales will be mailed by August 15th for July sales and September 15th for August sales.
