Chasing Ghosts 9: Piercing the Veil through Remembrance, Legacy, and Beyond

Chasing Ghosts 9 is a virtual group exhibition open to all 2D and 3D artists working in painting, drawing, photography, graphics, digital, and sculpture. The theme invites artists to interpret the concept of "ghosts" through remembrance, legacy, and beyond. Artists are encouraged to explore how current social, health, environmental, and political concerns may shadow or define their work, or how memory, past legacies, and future concerns are expressed through their practice. All mediums and modes of expression are welcome.

The exhibition will open virtually in October 2025 and run for four weeks, showcased on Verum Ultimum's website, virtual gallery spaces, social media, and blog posts. Selected artists will be featured in an exhibition page with virtual viewing galleries displaying work in scale, and will receive social media promotion throughout the four-week run. An exhibition book will be produced and retained in the Verum Ultimum library. Artists will be notified of acceptance by October 10, 2025.

Entry requires a minimum of 1 image and a maximum of 10 images. The entry fee is $20.00 for the first image, with an additional $5.00 media fee for each image over the minimum. Artists must be 18 years of age or older. Works may be marked for sale or as exhibition only (NFS). The gallery takes a 35% commission on sales and provides prepaid shipping labels for sold work. Artists retain all copyrights to their work. The submission deadline is September 17, 2025.
