About This Call

For 67 years, the Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair, the second oldest juried art fair in Michigan, has been bringing fine art to our community. Held in grassy East Park on Round Lake, the natural harbor between Lakes Michigan and Charlevoix, makes for a unique and beautiful setting for the event. The variety of art, the range of techniques, and the array of colors across the park make the Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair a spectacular visual experience. The emphasis of the show is and always has been on ART and creativity, attracting some of the nation's top artists as well as enthusiastic and knowledgeable patrons.

The fair takes place on August 8, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with early setup available on August 7 from 12:00-7:00 p.m. Applications are due February 15 with a $40 jury fee, and artists will be notified of jury decisions by March 1. Each 10' by 10' space costs $225 for one space or $450 for two spaces. All work must be original and handcrafted by the accepted artist, who must be present at the fair. The fair accepts work in multiple media categories including ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood objects.

The Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair, in tandem with the Council for the Arts, continues supporting the next generation of artists and fostering creativity in the community. The fair has an outstanding reputation with critics, collectors, and artists because of both the quality of art and the unparalleled location. Proceeds from the fair benefit arts education in the community, with the goal of providing year-round inspiration and opportunity for aspiring young local artists.
