About This Call
The Chain of Parks Art Festival is an annual multi-day fine art event featuring a two-day outdoor artist exhibition and sale held in downtown Tallahassee's Chain of Parks. The festival has been nationally ranked in the Top 100 Fine Art Festivals by Sunshine Artist Magazine for 12 consecutive years and attracts over 45,000 visitors and patrons. Approximately 170 juried artists are accepted to participate. All proceeds benefit LeMoyne Arts, a non-profit community-based art center.
The festival awards over $10,000 in cash prizes, including Best of Show ($2,000), Award of Excellence ($1,000), and additional category awards distributed through a weighted system. A Recycle Content Art Award of $300 is available for voluntary participation in all mediums. Artists retain 100% of sales from artworks sold. The event includes artist amenities such as a hospitality area with complimentary refreshments, welcome reception, complimentary event t-shirt, volunteer booth sitters, 24-hour on-site security, complimentary reserved parking, and limited complimentary RV parking. Festival website includes artist images and live links to artist websites, and a high-quality printed program features sample images and website information for each artist.
Participation is determined by a blind jury of 3-5 jurors who evaluate work based on originality, concepts, execution, and consistency of style and presentation. Jurors review artist ID, prices, three required art images, booth image, and artist statement (500 characters maximum). Artists must create and execute their own original, professional quality art; proxy or sales representatives are not allowed. Application deadline is October 31, 2026. Booth fee of $375 for a 10x10 standard booth is due January 8, 2027. Event setup is April 16, 2027, with the show running April 17-18, 2027 (Saturday 10 am–5 pm, Sunday 10 am–4 pm). Application fee is $35 (non-refundable). Top award winners are automatically juried into the next year's festival.
