About This Call
Open call for qualifications for an outdoor public sculpture marking the driving entrance to a river kayak launch site in Central Iowa. The work should become a visual landmark, engage uniquely and inspiringly with outdoor activities at the launch, and enhance the experience of residents and travelers. Intentional lighting is part of the project. Site specifics, visual references, site plans, and stakeholder priorities will be provided to three shortlisted artists invited to develop commissioned proposals; one proposal will be selected for implementation.
