Center Forward 2024

Center Forward 2024 seeks contemporary photography and photo-based work. This open-theme call emphasizes creativity, content, and mastery. The call is open to all photographers worldwide working in all photographic mediums, including digital, film, mixed, and unique processes.

Entry fees are $35 for four images (non-members) or $25 for four images (members). Additional images may be submitted for $5 each (non-members) or $3 each (members), with a maximum of 20 images total. Submissions must include a minimum of 4 images. All submitting artists must own the copyright to their images. Entries are due August 18, 2024. Acceptance notifications will be sent via email on September 18, 2024.

Selected artists' work will be exhibited in the gallery from October 30 to November 23, 2024. An opening reception and artist talks will be held on November 1, 2024. An Immersion Weekend (November 1-2, 2024) will include a Friday night opening reception, a no-host dinner, Saturday one-on-one reviews with the jurors, artist portfolio sharing, and lunch or a lake BBQ. Jurors are Hamidah Glasgow (Executive Director and Curator at The Center for Fine Art Photography) and Katherine Ware (Curator of Photography at the New Mexico Museum of Art). Two jurors awards of $300 each will be given. Ten selected exhibitors will receive virtual or in-person 20-minute portfolio reviews with the jurors. The Center provides event press releases and social media promotions to an international audience of 180,000+ followers. All submitting artists retain copyright to their images.
