Center for the Arts Theater Gallery

Center for the Arts in Jackson, WY is seeking proposals from individual artists or small artist teams for The Center Theater Gallery exhibition space. The Theater Gallery is an approximately 35-foot long transitional hallway from the theater to the education pavilion with exhibition space on both walls. This is a high visibility, high traffic exhibition space, with more than 100,000 audience members attending events in and around the campus every year.

The Center Theater Gallery has a select number of open slots for exhibitions ranging from 6-8 weeks, scheduled from January 1-December 31, 2017. Artists who reside in the intermountain region are eligible (MT, WY, CO, UT, ID). This is a juried call; cutting edge contemporary artists as well as artists working in traditional media with a fresh vision will be considered. Excellence, contemporary vision, technical expertise, and suitability for the space are the selection criteria. Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.

Entry fee is $25.00. Submit 3-7 images, or up to 3 audio files and/or 3 video files (minimum 3 total samples). Up to 3 applications allowed per artist. Artists may offer work for sale; the Center will withhold a 30% commission and taxes. The Center will provide online marketing, limited print marketing, an opening reception, and an intimate art talk. Work must arrive ready for installation; artists are responsible for transporting work to and from the Center.
