About This Call
The USCB Center for the Arts and the City of Beaufort Cultural District present Taste of the Arts, a juried exhibition celebrating the vibrant creativity and cultural richness of the Lowcountry. This annual showcase invites artists from across South Carolina and Georgia to submit their finest original works for consideration. The exhibition runs from May 1 – June 15, 2026, at the University of South Carolina Beaufort Center for the Arts in Beaufort, SC.
Artists working in mixed media, printmaking, oils, pastels, watercolor, acrylics, photography, and sculpture are encouraged to apply. More than $2,500 in prizes will be awarded to outstanding submissions, recognizing excellence in both artistic skill and creative vision. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., marking the beginning of the Taste of Beaufort Festival.
Submitted artwork must be original works created within the last three years. Two-dimensional work must be securely wired with no sawtooth hangers, and works on paper must be framed. Sculptures must be stable and suitable for public exhibition. No reproductions, giclées, or work previously exhibited at the USCB Center for the Arts will be accepted. The entry fee is $20, and artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
